Education Support Program for Children from Rag Picker Families (Kachara Vechak Mulankarita)
Ashirwad Foundation has been actively providing educational support and basic learning opportunities for children from rag picker communities living in slum areas. This initiative focuses on ensuring that children from economically disadvantaged families receive access to basic education, learning guidance, and academic support in a safe and encouraging environment.
The program currently supports 48 children, including 25 girls and 23 boys. Educational activities include basic literacy education, reading and writing practice, school support sessions, personality development, and motivational activities designed to encourage children to remain connected to formal education.
The initiative specifically works toward reducing school dropouts, improving educational awareness among parents, and creating a positive learning atmosphere within the slum community. Special attention is given to girl child education and equal learning opportunities for all children.
Ashirwad Foundation plans to continue this initiative throughout the year to create long-term educational impact and empower children from rag picker families with knowledge, confidence, and better future opportunities.
